In celebration of Eid al-Adha 1445 H, STIBA Makassar carried out the slaughtering of qurban animals with a spirit of togetherness. A total of 31 cows and 17 goats were slaughtered on campus on Saturday, 10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 H (17 June 2024 AD).

The event began in the morning, following the Eid al-Adha prayer held at the Uhud Field of STIBA Makassar. The committee had prepared all the necessities to ensure the smooth process of slaughtering, including equipment, skilled personnel, and a clean location.

The Head of the Qurban Implementation Committee, Ustaz Sirajuddin, S.Pd.I., S.H., M.H., stated that the number of qurban animals slaughtered this year had increased compared to the previous year. “Alhamdulillah, thanks to the participation and support of the donors, we were able to slaughter 31 cows and 17 goats. This is a tangible manifestation of the high level of concern and spirit of sharing from all the donors,” said Ustaz Sirajuddin.

All committee members carried out their duties with great teamwork. The slaughtering process was conducted by an experienced team to ensure that the process adhered to Islamic guidelines and that the qurban animals were treated well.

After the slaughtering was completed, the qurban meat was distributed to those entitled to receive it, including the surrounding community, students, and STIBA Makassar staff and lecturers who did not perform qurban this year.
