Health Student Association (UKM Kesehatan) of STIBA Makassar and Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) of South Sulawesi successfully held a blood donation activity at two different locations, the male and female campuses, on Friday (10/03/2023).

Ustaz Ibrahim Rauf Mande, the Head of Clinic and Mentor of UKM Kesehatan STIBA Makassar, expressed his hope that this activity could have a positive impact on the students who participated as donors, in the form of improving their health and protecting them from dangerous diseases. Moreover, it could become a continuous reward for them in the afterlife, as quoted in the verse mentioned in the theme of this blood donation activity:

“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.” (QS. Al-Ma’idah: 32)

“We hope for this goodness and continuous collaboration between STIBA and the Health Department of South Sulawesi Province,” he said.

The event coordinator, Ardiansyah, also the Chairman of UKM Kesehatan STIBA Makassar, stated that this blood donation activity is one of their annual programs. In previous years, this activity was only intended for students, but this year it was organized for all students.

The great enthusiasm of STIBA Makassar students was the driving force behind the success of this event. A total of 77 bags of blood were collected and used as blood supply for those in need.

This blood donation activity is a humanitarian activity that aims to provide assistance to those in need as a form of solidarity with fellow humans. Through this activity, it is hoped that they can contribute to increasing the national blood supply.
