(STIBA.ac.id) Makassar – Joy mixed with emotions filled the Aula Gedung Aisyah at STIBA Makassar Campus on Sunday, August 20, 2023, during the graduation ceremony where 261 alumni celebrated their achievements. The 6th Bachelor’s Degree Graduation was held on campus, a decision that returned this historical moment to the roots where the students’ educational journey began. Previously, graduation ceremonies were often held off-campus. However, the decision to hold the event on campus, which has become an integral part of the students’ journey, provided a sense of closeness and nostalgia for the entire STIBA Makassar family.
This significant moment was not only attended by the STIBA Makassar academic community but was also enlivened by honored guests, including Vice Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Drs. H. Tamsil Linrung, Secretary Coordinator of Kopertais Region VIII, Dr. K.H. Nur Taufiq Sanusi Baco, M.Ag., General Leader of DPP Wahdah Islamiyah, Dr. K.H. Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin, Lc., M.A., and other distinguished guests.
The Chairman of STIBA Makassar, Ustaz Akhmad Hanafi Dain Yunta, Lc., M.A., Ph.D., delivered the opening speech. In his address, Ustaz Akhmad expressed deep gratitude for this remarkable achievement, where STIBA Makassar has graduated a total of 1,758 students to date. This moment marks the institution’s long journey in providing quality education.
He also shared the institution’s ambitious goals for his second term in line with the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, which is to enhance STIBA Makassar’s reputation at the national and international levels.
“Hopefully, with the togetherness and collaboration of all parties, we aspire to make STIBA a higher education institution that excels, is competitive, and ensures the stability of its students,” he said.
Ustaz Akhmad did not forget to deliver a special message to the graduates.
“To my dear graduates, today you have all completed an educational journey. So, the knowledge values that you have acquired should now be felt and put to use in the midst of society,” he said.
He also shared the good news that none of their alumni are unemployed. Before graduating, they already knew where they would contribute to society.
