They were welcomed by the Tanralili Subdistrict Chief, Sudarmin, S.E., M.Si., Deputy Subdistrict Chief Andi Darmansah, S.P., as well as village heads and sub-village heads from across the Tanralili Subdistrict as the hosts.
In his speech, Subdistrict Chief Andi Darmansah, S.P., representing the absent district head at the end of the event, emphasized the importance of students maintaining integrity, displaying good behavior, and collaborating with all village residents.
“As we welcome the upcoming month of Ramadan, we encourage KKN students to contribute to the community by nurturing spirituality, such as through Quranic reading and writing activities, and other activities aimed at fostering moral values among the residents,” he expressed.
He also hoped that the planned activities could be collaborated with those in the villages.
STIBA Makassar Chairman, Ustaz Akhmad Hanafi Dain Yunta, Lc., M.A., Ph.D., also gave a brief introduction about STIBA Makassar. He conveyed that STIBA always pays great attention to the three pillars of higher education, one of which is community service through KKN. This KKN VII will be attended by 297 STIBA Makassar students.
Ustaz Akhmad also shared experiences from previous KKNs, especially in Malino last year, which showed that the community had a positive impression, leading to many requests for STIBA Makassar to send its students there again. His hope is that this positive impression will also occur in this year’s KKN.
“Our hope is for the implementation of this KKN to proceed smoothly. We are grateful to Allah and appreciate the subdistrict office as well as the village heads and sub-village heads who have helped facilitate. We hope for maximum collaboration, and the institution’s commitment to KKN is our primary concern,” he stated.
He also expressed his hopes to the students not to disappoint, as part of academic responsibility is to make community service a form of dedication needed by the community.
