STIBA Makassar Chairman, Ustadz Ahmad Hanafi Dain Yunta, Lc., M.A., Ph.D., also delivered a speech at the National Islamic Unity Movement for Palestine held nationally and centered at STIBA Makassar Campus on Friday (17/5/2024).

The hybrid event was attended by all members of the STIBA Makassar academic community, at the courtyard of Anas bin Malik Mosque, as well as Wahdah Islamiyah schools across the country online.

Ustadz Ahmad Hanafi’s speech focused on the importance of solidarity and concern for Palestine, especially Gaza. He emphasized that the gathering in this action was not just a regular meeting, but a tangible action to show concern and support for Muslims in Palestine.

“Allahu Akbar! This is not just a gathering. This is not just us expressing our voices and feelings. This is not just a regular meeting. This is about concern,” he emphasized.

Ustadz Ahmad Hanafi quoted the saying of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which emphasizes that Muslims should support each other like a strong building.

He also called for a message to all world leaders, leaders of Muslim countries, and all humanity to pay attention to the situation in Gaza and Palestine.

The speech, delivered in Indonesian, Arabic, and English, emphasized three important points: the need to maintain Gaza and ensure Palestinian independence, stop the genocide happening in Palestine, and ensure humanitarian and health assistance reaches the people of Palestine.
