The welcoming event was attended by Herwan, S.Sos., M.Si. as the Camat of Moncongloe along with his staff. Also present were five village chiefs or their representatives. Meanwhile, from STIBA Makassar, Chairman Dr. Akhmad Hanafi Dain Yunta and field guidance lecturers were seen attending, including Dr. Ronny Mahmuddin, Ahmad Syaripudin, M.Pd.I., Irsyad Rafi, M.H., Ariesman M., M.Si., and Muh. Also seen in the row of guest chairs was the Chairman of DPC Wahdah Islamiyah Moncongloe, Ustaz Zainal.

STIBA Makassar Chairman Dr. Akhmad Hanafi Dain Yunta expressed his utmost gratitude in his speech to the local government officials who provided access and facilities for STIBA students to carry out KKN in the Moncongloe sub-district of Maros Regency.

“The villages in Moncongloe have a right to be neighbors that must be given because geographically this sub-district is very close to STIBA Makassar,” he said.

Regarding the different appearance of students, especially female students, from the majority of the local community, the STIBA Chairman urged his students not to be exclusive and create barriers with the local community and to show noble morals to them.

When giving his speech, the Camat of Moncongloe expressed his happiness that his sub-district had been chosen as one of the KKN locations for STIBA from among many sub-districts in Maros Regency.

“Welcome to the KKN participants. We have great hope for the STIBA Makassar KKN participants to not isolate themselves from the community and to be able to collaborate with the local government in providing religious guidance to the people of Moncongloe,” he hoped.

The welcoming event ended with the symbolic handover of the KKN participants from STIBA Makassar’s Chairman to the Camat of Moncongloe.
