(STIBA.ac.id) Makassar – The Decree of the Minister of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia on September 16, 2020 officially stipulated that the Journal of Nukhbatul ‘Ulum: Journal of Islamic Studies obtained accreditation rank 3rd, which was previously ranked 4th.

Nukhbatul ‘Ulum Journal is one of the journals managed by the Center for Research and Community Service (P3M) STIBA Makassar.

In its history, the Nukhbatul ‘Ulum Journal has been initiated since 2013 and is still in print.

In 2018, Nukhbatul ‘Ulum turned into an online-based journal and owned an E-ISSN (ISSN Online) during the leadership of Syandri Sya’ban, Lc., M.Ag., as the Head of P3M STIBA Makassar.

This major change was basically based on the demands of the times, trends, and the direction of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s policies at that time. The Head of P3M made a breakthrough in journal development despite the various limitations attached to it.

The stability of the publication of the Nukhbatul ‘Ulum Journal continued from 2018 to early 2019, but the trend and quality of the journal were not nationally accredited. For this reason, the stakeholders demanded and encouraged the quality of the journal Nukhbatul ‘Ulum to be improved, starting from governance to achieving national accreditation.

Not only that, journals that have been directly accredited will have implications for bargaining power and increase institutional accreditation.

From 2019 until now, the leadership of the Center for Research and Community Service has switched to Dr. Khaerul Akbar.

Due to the taufiq from Allah Ta’ala, P3M STIBA Makassar won the 3rd Place Accreditation (Sinta 3) for the Nukhbatul ‘Ulum Journal. In addition, P3M STIBA Makassar has successfully published and managed 4 other journals.

For this achievement, the Chairman of STIBA Makassar, Dr. Ahmad Hanafi Dain Yunta, gave his appreciation and congratulations to the P3M STIBA Makassar team.
